The Triton Light Approach
Located along the seawall of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, Triton Light is both a famous monument- dedicated to the safe return of all those who go to sea- and a functioning navigational beacon that helps local sailors navigate the Severn’s choppy waters. Success at the Academy and at sea requires humble servant leadership, integrity, and grit- three values that have been the bedrock of my career and will guide the succession plan for your business.
Values
Humble Servant Leadership: In the Navy, you learn to place the needs of your shipmates above your own. In business, leaders serve their employees, customers, and communities. I will honor the relationships that you have forged with the stakeholders who have helped you build your business.
Integrity: When a business operates with integrity, it demonstrates reliability, honesty, and ethical conduct, key components of building the trust required to earn the loyalty of your employees and the dedication of your customers.
Grit: As a Navy Pilot, the ability to adapt and overcome in austere environments is crucial not only for mission success but also for survival. In business, having grit means demonstrating resilience in the face of market fluctuations, embracing change as an opportunity for growth, and communicating a clear vision forward for those you lead.
Focus
My goal is to run your company for the long-term. I am not a private equity firm that seeks to add your company to a vast portfolio or wants to strip your business for a quick flip to maximize short-term returns for their investors.
Continuing to grow what you have built will be my mission. I hope that my goal to lead a business and your desire to create a smooth succession plan will result in a mutually beneficial transaction process.
